Introduction[]
In the sixth century the Christian Preacher Cantigernus of Laudonia befriends a half-crazed madman near the village of Perthia in the Caledonian forests... the man names himself as "Aliogenus" or "Merlynus the Wild" and, as he becomes more amenable, starts to reveal weird tales about his earlier incarnation, as a Wizard named Merlinus of Moridunum and how he had once made a young pretender named Artus of Camelot High-king of Loegria and almost conquered the roman empire...
